A high-low-close chart shows the daily high, low, and closing prices for a stock over a given period of time. Completing the steps below will produce a stock market chart similar to the image shown here and help you make good decisions when planning your stock trades. An OHLC chart is a type of bar chart that shows open, high, low, and closing prices for each period. OHLC charts are useful since they show the four major data points over a period, with the closing price being considered the most important by many traders. Create High-Low-Close Stock Chart If you want to create a high-low-close chart, your data need to contain open price, high price, low price, close price and date. It can be used to show the daily high price, low price, and closing prices for a stock over a given period of time. The Open-High-Low-Close stock chart is used when we want to see profit or loss on chart in the end of the day. A small box starts from opening value, and ends at the closing value. A vertical line shows the the range between the prices has varied, using high value and low value. After you arrange your dataset, select from A2 to D14 and from INSERT tab, click Recommended Charts button. This will display Insert Chart window.
